This
was my Cabaret Card, required foremployment in N.Y. clubs in the mid '60's. I wasn't that happy about being fingerprinted. |
...with the bands that played there!
THE CURTIS KINGHT
FOUR featuring JIMI JAMES(later known as Jimi Hendrix) at Ondine in 1965. |
JIMI HENDRIX (Although PA systems in the mid '60's were typically Shure Vocal-Masters with a pair of column speakers brought in by the bands, I had installed a 100 Watt Altec A260 power amp with a pair of custom column speakers with 12 Altec 755 8" coaxial speakers and an Altec 1567A mixer with 4 Altec 21C condenser microphones and two Thorens TD125 professional turntables. Extremely high end for it's time. The bands would use their equipment and tie into the house system. ...Jim Reeves) |
